Job.. cont.. Again? For real? Damn. [15 Mar 2007|09:08pm]
All right. Let's see what could possibly be added to all of the extensive information I've already provided...

Basically, we spent quite a large amount of time of a self paced computer tutorial things that teaches you lots of information about the Credit Union, currency(money), and every other aspect of the whole financial institution stuff. This part sucked severely. I kept feeling completely drained after those days because I was having to work double time to catch up with the other people in my training group that are there for complete days unlike myself since I'm only available after the lunch period, which means I miss about 4 hours of class time.

Anyway, I've gone out to one of the branches a few days so far. One day I just sat back and observed the entire time, but the most recent visits I was doing all of the transactions and such with someone watching over my shoulder to make sure that I didn't screw up too terribly. So far, I haven't lost any money.

OH! Shit, I almost forgot. I got to rob one of the branches of the Credit Union(note the use of Credit Union instead of bank. They constantly preach to us that they are a Credit Union and not a bank). Well, not really rob it. I got to take a piece of paper to the teller line that said something to the effect of "This is a simulated robbery:" And it had a picture of a semi-automatic hand gun on it. We got to pick which weapon we wanted between the semi-auto handgun, a revolver, an uzi, or a sawed off shotgun. I thought most of them seemed ridiculous. So, I went in gave them my note and they gave me.... "All my money" or rather all of their money, which consisted of a piece of paper that said "All my money" on it. And then I walked out, drove around the block, and then came back to drop the note off on the Loss Management guy's desk.

After that I headed to the other branch to go be a teller, and not be robbed.

It's been a good experience so far. The pay is better than I've had at my other jobs so I can't complain. I'm looking forward to going to a branch and not having someone stand over my shoulder though. That will be nice.

I don't know what else to say that really seems like a decent overview of what we've been doing.

Monday is my "Final exam". So, I hope I do well on that.

I hope everyone is doing well.

I will try to post more frequently(I say it everytime and it never happens, but I have to say it.)

Job [02 Mar 2007|08:08am]
Well, today is my first day at my new job. I have been hired by a bank to be a part time teller while I go to school. I guess I'm excited about it. The most important part is that it's money in my pocket. I don't foresee it being a difficult job, but I guess that's really dependent on the people that I have to deal with. Either way, it's exciting to finally have a job and the opportunity to put some money in my pocket. The first 3 weeks are supposedly training. I don't know what all that will entail, but fortunately since they’ve already hired me I get paid during the training period. Well, it is getting close to time to leave and I have to go brush my teeth and do all the get pretty stuff even though as I’m sure everyone knows. I’m already quite pretty(ha.. haha.. right.)

Well, another year has passed and I'm another year older. Not a lot more you can say about that.

I hope everyone else has a good day. I think mine is going to be a tad lax on the exciting side.

Well, I just finished typing up at three position papers for short stories that we had to read for my English class. Unfortunately, I only read two of the stories before writing the position paper. I had to work solely from the summary and analysis of the third story on Wikipedia. I just assumed that all of the people that made entries on it were telling the truth since of course everyone knows it doesn't have to be factual.

Anyway, I finished those. It's kind of odd though how they're called short stories, but it takes forever to read them because they aren't that short. Maybe short in comparison to a novel, but long in comparison to say an essay or something. I don't know.

I guess I'll try to think of something to write later.

They're having some kind of AUMfest for October right now. So, I'm going to go check that out and then head to the house where presumably we will have cable internet for the first time ever... Thank You umm... Buddha? I was just going for some random deity since none really appear to have any control over cable internet.

Well, off I go to hopefully be entertained at least for a short period of time.

Ok, seriously... how many times in your life have you gone into a public restroom and actually heard someone struggling to go to the bathroom.

I suppose on one note it's quite disgusting, but it's also quite hilarious. To hear someone grunting sporadicaly and for whatever reason was funny. I wouldn't have wanted to witness the activity, but sound effects are funny.

Anyway, I just got out of my Econ2010 class and now I'm sitting here. I'm trying to contemplate writing a position paper for English or putting it off... again.

Moving on to more important things. I think I may be going to a fall formal tomorrow. I can't say for certain. I guess that really depends on if Nina was able to get the tickets or not. If not I wont really be all that disappointed. I'm not a huge dance person, but it's nice to finally have someone to go with.

I don't even know what to do with my spare time between classes. I guess as I mentioned before I could be writing position papers for English, but... who really wants to do that? Not me, certainly.

Oh, well. I'll probably mess around for a bit longer and then do that.

Let's see...

I just got out of my Comm1010 class. I managed to go the entire time today. I did find out; however, that I wasn't the only person to leave on Monday. At least 2 of my classmates left at the same time that I did. I guess great minds think alike.

In retrospect to the History exam... the questions that I knew the least about were chosen.

Something about compare and contrast the views, beliefs, and other stuff of Zoraster, the Hebrews, and Akhenaten. Actually, it was based more on the actual religions themself rather than the people.

The other one was something about how the Qin Dynasty in China made changes from the old ways or how it was different in the ideas, etc.

I had a hard time finding enough information in my brain to make these questions a reasonable length. History.... small amounts of information with a lot of fluff or too much information and not enough fluff?

I'm just sitting around waiting for that class to roll around again. I'm not entirely sure what we're going to do today, but I'm sure it will be a lecture of sorts about whatever groups rolls around in history.

At this point though, I'm just sitting around freezing because, as I've stated in the past, I don't have enough insulation to keep myself warm. I'm not the average American. I'm an outsider. I don't fit into the group. Maybe that's why I'm not social enough is because I don't have enough cushioning.

Anyway, I guess I should head to class shortly and there is no reason to ramble on much longer since this post is already amply long at this point.

I'll attempt to post more frequently.

(Only like a week left in my half term courses Comm1010 and Econ2010)

[02 Oct 2006|10:31am]
[ mood | bored ]

I decided to skip out on the second half of my Comm1010 class. I've got a big history test in my next period class that I need to study for and it honestly takes precedence over nearly falling asleep as my teacher drolls on.

It shouldn't be a hard test. The teacher gave us the 6 possible essay questions. She rolls a 2 dice at the beginning of the test and that determines which two essays we will write. Maybe if they land on the same number we only have to write one. I'll have to mention that if it happens even though I'm sure it wont.

Not just that but I'm sure whatever questions are chosen will be the ones that I'm least knowledgible or prepared for. That's always how it works.

Oh well. I guess I should get back to studying. I've been taking notes down for the past hour. Needless to say, I needed a break.

Well, I hope everyone else is moving along with their day as well.

[ mood | cold ]

Well, I'm just sitting around. My economics class finished about half an hour early. It amazes me how people can deal with how cold they have classrooms and such. I guess I could just blame it on my obvious lack of being like the rest of the population and being overweight. My lack of insulation is causing me to be uncomfortable. Maybe I should just conform and throw on a few extra layers of insulation. Hah... if that were only possible. Actually, even if my metabolism would permit that I don't think I would want it to.

I guess it really comes down to the fact that they need to keep the rooms at a more reasonable temperature. One that doesn't promote freezing.

Ah... here's another thought.... everyday I see people getting in and out of cars that have handicap tags or signs on them, but the individual isn't remotely handicapped. Unfortunately, most of the people I've seen appear to be completely normal. These individuals are in turn, taking parking areas that are designated for people with actual handicaps. No, color of skin does not count as a handicap. I know.... lots of ignorant people out there think it does and in that instance... they're right. They're mentally handicapped, but that doesn't mean they can't walk the extra 50 feet to the door by parking further away. Another group that should not be given handicap tags or signs is the overweight.... Of course, it isn't your fault. You can't help that you eat more than the people around you... how could you possibly control that? Here's the resolution for that. Put a section at the very back of the parking lot for the "handicapped" people that are overweight. Let them walk it off a bit. Don't put them at the very front of the parking lot. They need the exercise obviously.

I'm sure I'll think of some other noteworthy things about handicap tags, but at the moment it's too cold to function properly.

Semi-update. [14 Sep 2006|11:16am]
[ mood | nauseated ]

Well, I doubt any of the people I talked to however long ago it was at this point still have me on their friend list, but I thought I would throw out a random entry to kind of catch up where I left off.

Actually, I don't remember where I left off. So, I'll just start off fresh, I guess.

I'm still in College. I'm taking Microeconomics, Engl 1020(Short Story/Poem Analysis stuff), History 1010(From the beginning of civilization to 1648?), and Comm 1010, which is a course that talks about communication.

So far, everything is going well in all of my classes. Comm 1010 and Microeconomics are half term courses so we're flying through everything in there. I've already had two exams and I had to give a speech in Comm 1010.

Other than that, I've just been hanging out with my girlfriend. Wasting the money I had saved up due to trying to focus on school for a while.

I'll get a job again once the first half of the semester is over.

Umm... I went to the beach this summer twice. Once with family and the second time with my girlfriend and her family.

I've been playing paintball. I'll have to take some pictures of me decked out in paintball gear sometime.

Well, I'm sure I'll come up with more to talk about later, but at this point I'm kind of at a loss for words. Actually, that's not entirely true.

Anyway, as always feel free to IM me on AIM my SN is Zman7523 or email me zgantt@gmail.com.

I hope everyone has been doing well and hopefully I'll talk to all or some of you soon.

I'll try to post whenever I get a chance. Well, I wont say that. No need to spam you innocent people with every waking thought I have.

I hope some of you will IM me or email me. I would say give me a call, but I didn't post my phone number. Don't want any crazies getting it. Not that any of you are crazy by any means. Comments such as that remind me of the movie Madagascar and the penguins standing around "Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave."

By the way, I just found the little mood for nauseated. It really came to mind after realizing I just ate Taco Bell food and it wasn't very good. Actually, it was kind of.... nauseating! All right. I'm out. Oh, before I do that... Semi-poll: Should I buy the new Breaking Benjamin CD or... shoot the guy at the music store with a paintball gun, run in, get the CD, and run away? Any and all answers welcome.

Updating... because someone seems to think it's important. [19 Jan 2006|12:19pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Ok. Ok. Ok.

I'm writing something in here. I just got a message from LJ stating that I hadn't posted in 58 weeks. They make that seem like a long time. Initially, I thought it said 58 days and I knew I hadn't posted on here that recently, but I also didn't realize that it had been over a year.

I honestly don't know what to write about. I suppose I could just give an update on what all I've been up to over the last year?

Well, I guess I haven't posted in long enough that I have a girlfriend now. We've actually been together since Decemeber 9th of 2004. That timeframe just so happens to be the longest period I've had a girlfriend for. It isn't hard to fathom though since I haven't had many girlfriends due to the lack of self confidence. So, I spoil this one and she hasn't run off yet.

Let's see.... I've also picked up paintball. It's quite fun. I can't afford to go out every weekend like I want to, but it gives me something to do. Not only that, but I play with my girlfriend. That makes it even more entertaining. Obviously, I try to keep us on the same team because being a guy you don't want to shoot your girlfriend. Although, I have been known to from time to time. She seems to have the same outlook surprisingly. I would have thought that she was just looking for another excuse to injure me in some way since she's a girl, but I was wrong about that.

I'm back in college now as well. I took classes last fall and did well in all of them with the exception of my History class, which I only pulled a C+ out of. Sadly, I think it was the teacher. It was actually the part of history that I found entertaining to learn about as opposed to the one I'm taking now that I couldn't care less about. I took a History class(1648 to present or something like that), Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, and Art Appreciation(not really feeling the appreciation vibe. I guess it was an attempt to help me understand art, however, it was a required course. So, I had to take it.)

This semester I'm taking another History course. Unfortunately, unlike last semester, the information we're covering isn't remotely motivational. At best, it is a good bedtime story because that's about all it does for me(puts me to sleep).

I'm also taking English class, which I sadly found out I have the toughest English professor on the face of the earth. She told us in the first class that in our essays, the only grades in the class, if you make more than 4 grammatical errors you receive an "F" on the essay. This being said, if you missplace or forget say.... 4 commas, you fail the essay. We only have like 5 essays in the course. So, fail one you pretty much doom yourself.

I'm taking a Music Appreciation course. It looks to be interesting(more interesting than Art Appreciation, anyway). I'm not sure that I'll be doing amazingly with picking everything up right off the bat, but it shouldn't be terrible.

Finally, I'm taking a Human Communication class, which I'm assuming is supposed to improve my communication with other humans. It's another required course. The major plus about this course is that the teacher is enthusiastic. I think the course will be easier once the books actually come. I bought them online through the school's bookstore and they should have been shipped by now.

I suppose that's all for now. Feel free to throw out comments and say, "Hi," since I can almost guarantee that I haven't talked to any of you in quite some time.

[ mood | satisfied ]

Well, I was going to go buy Need For Speed: Underground 2 today, but it seems that the stores that I was considering purchasing it for either don't have it or aren't accepting trade-ins. I was going to buy it from the game store near me, but they're doing inventory today so they aren't accepting trade-ins. I'll just wait until tomorrow. I have another game that I wanted to trade-in anyway because my friend borrowed it without asking. I never play it. So, I might as well use it to get a discount off the price I would be paying. So far I think I'm getting like 10+ dollars off. Then with the other game I should get about another 5 bucks off.

Anyway, I went over to my grandmother's house around noon to check on her. I reheated some stuff for her and put some pear halves in a bowl. I personally didn't eat any of the stuff. It was tuna fish casserole, which I usually like. The stuff smelled awful though. So, I didn't venture to try it. My grandmother makes some though that is GRRRRRREAT! You don't really have to be a big tuna fan to like it either because the other flavors in it subdue the tuna flavor. It's actually quite good.

So, after that I called the places about the game I want.

I took one of my DDR(Dance Dance Revolution) games down to one of the kids down the street that is sick today. Something about having inner ear problems or something. I attempted to get the game that I let him borrow back, but the person across the street from him took it from his house without telling anyone. That kid steals too much stuff. He's taken things from me and then been like, "I don't know how it got in my pocket." Yep... And I don't know how my foot is about to go so far up your ass!

So, once I get that game back I'll go up to the game store tomorrow and get the game.

Not much else to say. I'll post again this evening with random information that no one cares about.

Later

[29 Nov 2004|06:39pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

Well, today started off pretty well. I got up around 8, walked the dog, and in the middle of the walk my phone started ringing. It was my grandmother. She was calling me to let me know that her doctor's appointment, today, was at 3 in the afternoon, but she wanted me to come over around noon to make her some lunch. So, I sat around at home for the majority of the morning. Just kind of waiting around until noon. I hopped in my car at noon to find that I was low on gas so I went to the gas station and threw ten bucks worth of gas in it. I have to buy the expensive stuff. Otherwise it would be considerably cheaper. That amount usually fills up about 3/4s of my tank, like today. My car runs like crap on the cheaper gas though. So, I have to keep plugging the higher octane gas into it.

Anyway, I got to my grandmother's house and she was back in her room reading. Before I go too much further into this day, I don't remember whether or not I mentioned why all of this was happening. Last Friday, my grandmother was on her way back from her next door neighbor's house when she slipped and fell. One of her legs went forward while the other went up under her. I'm not exactly sure where the break is at, but I believe it's right around her ankle. So, today she was going to some place to get a cast put on... I think.

Back to the "story"... When I got there she said she wanted either tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, or a peanut butter sandwich. She wouldn't decide what she wanted. So, I ended up making her some chicken noodle soup. About the time I got finished and took her a bowl of it, some crackers, and a glass of milk; a friend from church arrived with a tuna fish casserole and I guess it was some bread. He seemed like a friendly guy. I didn't talk to him much. I mainly just directed him to where my grandmother was currently located while I put the casserole in the refridgerator. He left shortly after and I did the dishes. Not long after we finished eating. Two o'clock had rolled around and it was time to head to the doctor's office. Luckily for us, she has a flight of about 30 stairs infront of her house that she had to go down. Our first idea was for me to basically just carry her down, but she was afraid that her grip might not hold or that she might put too much pressure on the wrong foot if she stepped down. So, she decided to basically sit down and then work her way down step by step. After that it was just a matter of turning around and sitting down in the car.

We drove out to the doctor's office and then she realized that she had left the x-rays at home. So, I drove back to her house to get them. My mom had called on the way out to let me know that she was going to meet me at the doctor's office so that I would be able to leave and go out to the barn this afternoon to check on the horses. On my way back to my grandmother's house I called my mom and found out that she was on the same road I was on, but about half a mile or so behind me. So, I drove to my grandmother's house to pick up the x-ray and I met my mom at the greenhouse because she had to drop off one of her co-workers there. We traded vehicles and I headed back to my grandmother's house to pick-up my car. I basically just left the truck at her house and got my car and headed home. I had about 2 minutes to spare when I got home. So, I parked the car, hopped out, ran inside, grabbed my bike, and headed down to my friend's house. Her mom got home about 5 minutes later and we headed for to pick up my friend about 5 minutes after that.

When we got to the barn the horses were in the paddocks farthest away from the barn because their usual paddocks had grass seed put in them and they needed to stay off of it so the grass could grow some. I took in two of the horses, the one I usually ride and my friend's mother's horse. The one I usually ride was nasty. She had been rolling around in the mud, but at this point it had all dried. So, once we got back to the stables I put them both in their stalls and filled up water buckets. I brushed the horse I usually ride and then put on their blankets. Their blankets are basically like coats that people where in that they have little fasterners and straps to keep them on the horse.

After that we went back to their house and I told my friend and one other person a joke that my father had shared with me on Thanksgiving Day. I'll type it out in a minute. After that, I came home and I was about to try and find something to eat when one of the little kids down the street called me to ask if I would take them to the movie store near me so they could return a game they rented. And I, being the nice guy I am, agreed to help. Once I got back, I started looking on ebay at Need for Speed: Underground 2 games and I bid on one, but once I really realized the price of the game. I decided I would be better off just buying it from Sears because you get five dollars off a purchase over twenty dollars and then my dad gets an additional ten percent off because he's an employee. So, I think I'll just got buy it new from Sears tomorrow or something.

I don't have much else to say. I went to the mall, but the DDR game was busted so I couldn't play. That's all.

I'll right another entry if anything interesting happens.

Off to eat Oreos or Ice Cream. I'm not sure which yet.

Night

[ mood | exhausted ]

I think I truly hate some people that work for the airline companies.

Anyway, last night my flight home was delayed from Omaha, Nebraska. I didn't get out of there until like 6:30 or something and the plane was initially scheduled to depart at 5:49. So, I was worried about missing my connecting flight, which would be taking me home. Sadly enough, my fears were made into a reality when I got to the airport in Atlanta to catch my connecting flight and found that my plane had literally JUST LEFT. Needless to say, I was pissed off. The attendant at the desk was a bitch. I was merely looking at the plane as it started off towards the runway and she said something about already having some piece of paper, which I'm assuming was the departure paper or something. Not only that, but she had to do it in this arrogant bitchy tone that made me want to smack the shit out of her.

So, I went to the ticket place that was located almost directly across from where I was initially suppose to board to get a ticket for this morning or the soonest flight, a meal ticket(worth 7 bucks, but I didn't use it), and my hotel voucher thing. They were forced to provide me with a free hotel room because it was their fault I missed the flight. Anyway, I got to the hotel after midnight, and didn't get to sleep until probably around 1:40ish. And I got a horrible night's sleep. I kept waking up constantly because I didn't want to miss the shuttle to the airport.

So, I woke up every 15 or so minutes starting at somewhere between 3:30 and 4. That went on until 5, which is when I got up. The little shuttle left from the hotel at 5:30. So, I took that to the airport and got through security and such. I checked in at the ticket counter thing to get my boarding pass, then I walked around the concourse(section of the airport with several of the gates) for about 2 hours. I tried to buy a frosty from the Wendy's in the airport, but the lady said that the frosty maker wasn't ready yet or something like that. So, I walked around for about 2 hours until until about 20 minutes before my flight was scheduled to leave, then I sat down at the gate and waited for them to begin boarding. Once we boarded there were only about 20 people on the plane. That's 20 out of like 76 to 80 possible passengers. So, basically it was a pretty dead flight.

Anyway, I need to go take a shower and head to bed.

I missed you all and hope you're all doing well.

Well, I'm in Nebraska now. I got in around 11:30, yesterday. My friend Kris picked me up from the airport and we headed to Best Buy from there to get another wireless network card.

After that we headed to his house and installed it. It was being difficult at first, but ended up working out fine. We installed a few games and played them for a bit. After that we played Halo 2 for a little while. We played the cooperative mode, but got stuck on a level and got bored trying to figure it out. Our planes got destroyed and there isn't any other way to get off of the island we were on.

His girlfriend(Christina) and her friend(Sheri) came over a little later. We hung out with them for awhile and played some ping pong. After that we had dinner and talked a little while. Then we watched "Elf". Now, I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell because he's usually a tad too stupid for me, but he was hilarious in this movie.

Kris and I might be going horseback riding with Sheri on Sunday. Hopefully we'll get to do that. Just depends on the weather.

Kris and I stayed up all night last night playing some games on the computer. I haven't done that in a long time. He w ent to bed around 6 and I went to bed around 8. We both woke up at 12 though.

Anyway, I'm going to have to cut this entry shorter than usual and not go into really deep detail about everything. I might put in another entry later if I get a chance.

Hope you all are doing well and I miss you all.

[16 Nov 2004|07:05pm]
[ mood | Bouncy ]

Well, I returned from the stables a few hours ago.

After I got back I came home and ate a few oreos, pissed off a few people...

Pissing people off is fun. I'm sorry, but it is. One of my friends is currently attending a cullinary school in New York. I told her that I was eating several different foods and she told me I was probably a "non-taster". I then proceeded to tell her that "non-taster" wasn't a real word. She then said there were "non-tasters", "tasters(or something like that)", and "super tasters". "Non-tasters" have 3000 tastebuds. "Tasters" have 5000". And "Super Tasters" have like 6000+ or something like that. I continued telling her that those definitions were completely fictional and she got extremely pissy. She's got some serious issues with getting angry over pointless stuff. I looked up "non-taster" and it is a word, but it means: "a person unable to taste the chemical phenylthiocarbamide". I don't know what "phylthiocarbamide" is, but I know it isn't connected with what she was telling me. After arguing with her for a little while longer she got to the point where she was whining and bitching about how I always piss her off about stuff like that. So, I just told her that whenever I thought she was going to disagree with something I had to say that I would just not say anything at all. I'd just stop talking. So, at that point, I stopped talking, and she did as well, then she got offline like 5 minutes later. Oh, right and I told her that none of the Backstreet Boys could sing. For some reason she has this dillusion that they have some vocal ability. That would definitely be incorrect. The last time I heard one of them sing I had to change the channel on the TV. The blonde haired guy was trying to sing live along with the rest of the group and he couldn't even sing as well as I can... and I can't sing. So pathetic how 25 year old guys sing to little 10 and 12 year olds.

Anyway, I ironed on a patch onto my pants. It doesn't smell very pleasant when you do it though and the fabric gets really hot. I should have known that, but I managed to burn myself on the fabric because I didn't realize it was going to be "that" hot. I just checked the patch though and I need to go over it again with the iron because it didn't hold properly at one corner.

After ironing on the patch, I got back on the computer and talked to a few people. I talked to Maurine and Kadey. By the way, Kadey, I will never hate you. Let's just go ahead and get that into your head. Anyway, while talking to Maurine, she wanted me to help her write a song. I personally have no lyrical ability whatsoever. I told her I couldn't even write a poem. I showed her a poem, and then she told me that I could write poems, but it was a very "emo" poem. No idea what that means, but I still don't think my ability as a poet is even remotely decent.

I just checked the patch though and I need to go over it again with the iron because it didn't hold properly at one corner.

So, I'm going to go finish that patch now.

[ mood | content ]

Not a lot happening today. I woke up a tad later than yesterday and walked the dog. Rather than actually changing into clothes I just wore what I went to sleep in. Oh, right, and some sandals.

So, after the lovely walk, I got in the shower and got all nice and squeaky clean. I was too lazy to take one last night. So, I took one this morning. I dislike being lazy, but I'm lazy far more often than I should be.

I talked to a few people online, then Rob IMed me. Rob is a friend of mine that I've known since I was in preschool. That's the grade before kindergarten. So, I've known him approximately 15 years. Anyway, he IMed me and asked if I could take him to class tomorrow evening because his mother and sister were going to be out of town. He doesn't drive anymore because he got in an accident and after that he's been I guess kind of traumatized. So, I agreed. He has really late classes though. From 5:30... I think. Until somewhere around 10. I'll have to come directly home and take a shower and go to bed since I have to be up at like 5 on Thursday to finish prepping for my trip to Nebraska. I think I'm just going to be taking clothing, a cd player, cds, and a book. Maybe not the book if I don't have room. No need for me to discuss what I'm going to pack. I need to put a patch on a pair of jeans that I ripped so I have more than one pair while I'm up there.

Hopefully I'll get to talk to my friend's sister(Kadey). I've liked her for quite awhile, but I haven't really told anyone. Well, I have told her, but I've been to shy and what not to actually try anything beyond being friends with her.

Right. Well, before I pass out any more possible embarassing information. I'll stop typing now.

[ mood | complacent ]

I'm currently harassing Jenni. She's informing me of what her clothing selections for tomorrow will be. She told me black tights and I asked if she was starting with ballet. She said it went best with a skirt. So, I asked her if it was a leotard. She then proceeded to tell me what tights were as if I had no idea. So, I informed her of what a leotard was and she claimed to already know. Sarcasm is so much fun.

Well, I didn't realize it was so much fun to tickle people. I know it sounds kind of lame, but it's quite enjoyable. I got bored and in attempts to get her(Nina) to stop harassing her poor dog. I started poking at her side, which I then found out is a very ticklish spot. So, I exploited that opportunity and found it to be thoroughly enjoyable. Amidst the screams for me to stop and what not I laughed as well. She attempted to tickle me, but I think my tickle box needs some new batteries or something. I tend to only laugh when there are like 3 people tickling me at once otherwise my body and mind just attempt to ignore it. I usually smile when someone tickles me, but seldom laugh unless I get ganged up on by people tickling me. Hmm.. I don't think anyone really cares about that.

So, I spent most of the day contemplating ways to make my fingers stop hurting from being cold. I honestly wish they wouldn't do that. I don't understand why my fingers get so cold, but the rest of my body is fine. For instance, this morning I walked my dog in sandals, a tshirt, shorts, and a beanie(little skull cap thing). My entire body felt warm except my fingers. They felt like someone was burning them or something. Not exactly a pleasant feeling. It can't be lack of blood circulation because once I got home they were moving more than anything else. Yet they were the coldest part of my body. Oh well.

So, the day dragged on and 2 o'clock rolled around. I was tired of being inside. I got my bike out and rode around for a little while. It was pretty fun aside from nearly running into a car that I didn't see coming down the road... Woops? Ok, that didn't really happen, but it made riding my bike sound far more enjoyable. I guess I probably road my bike a good 2, 3, or more miles, but just to complicate things I did it my going in the middle of the road down a huge hill. Dodging traffic is quite fun. So, eventually I made it to the bottom of the hill and then I had to do the lovely part of making the return trek up another hill. I turned into the parking lot of the local football stadium and road up it. I didn't really realize that parking lot was that steep. Anyway, I road up that and to the top of another hill where I began to ride down the sidewalk. Unfortunately, I had to slow down for fear of running into a car and getting injured because I couldn't see around a wall that was near the end of the sidewalk and a road that I had to cross before once again going up another hill. So, I started up another hill. This one was certainly more steep than the others and it lasted considerably longer. One of the problems was I kept having to stop my momentum to avoid objects obstructing my path along the sidewalk. After making my way up that hill I road a little way and then turned onto a side road, then slowly made my way back to my house. I found that it was only 2:40 at that point. So, I got online and talked to a few people for a minute, typed in a journal entry, and then headed to my friend's house to go to the stables.

I was amazed to find that they were already at their house. So, I got there and started fiddling with my phone. Just a few minutes later we were heading out to go pick her up from school and then head to the stables. She had a lesson this afternoon and then there was another little girl from the stables who had a lesson. So, we were at the stables until approximately 6. I think we left slightly before then, but I could be mistaken. After that we ran by some little 7-11 type place and picked up a few miscellaneous things. Oh, side note, we ate pistachios while the little girl was having her lesson. I haven't had those in awhile. I don't see how people could eat pistachio ice cream though. That just sounds disgusting. Back to the other stuff. We then went back to their house where my friend offered to let me eat with them, but I decided to just head home. Once I got home I got online and talked to a few people. Jenni harassed me about calling and called me several times. Kadey IMed me and informed me that she had a new screen name. Actually, she did that earlier in the day, but I'll just say she did it then to make the story flow. So, I talked to both of them for a few minutes before I went and ate dinner. It was leftover spaghetti, but that stuff is good. It isn't just the bottled sauce. It's homemade stuff. It's delicious. So, I ate dinner and voila. I'm back.

I know there was something else that I was going to mention, but my mind just went blank. Great job, Zach.

Anyway, I'll come back and throw in more comments later if I manage to remember what I was going to say.

[ mood | sore ]

I certainly underestimated the repercussions of what I was doing last night. My hands are cut all over the place and my back... it's stiff. Of course, I'll survive, but it wont be as pleasant a day as I had previously expected. I got up a lot earlier than I expected to as well, around 8 or so. I walked the dog in my shorts, tshirt, and some sandals. I then found out that it was quite cold outside. Most of my body was fine, but my fingers were cold and started hurting. (Note: My fingers, ears, and nose are the only things that really get cold.) Anyway, I got back home and I've accomplished far less today than I expected to. I did, however, manage to make some lunch and eat that. Yum yum for grilled ham and (swiss)cheese sandwiches.

Anyway, it's time for me to head down to my friend's house so I can meet up with them to pick her up from school and head to the barn.

Talk to you all later

And I do plan on calling you two this evening(Anima and Jenni)

[ mood | Tired and Extremely Sore ]

Today was a pretty long day. I expected to get up around 6:30 to take a shower before I went down to my friend's house to head to the stables, but I ended up waking up at 7:25 and we go to the stables at 7:30. So, I had to hop up and start throwing clothes on really fast. Needless to say the shower thing didn't happen. After I got my clothes on, I hopped on my bike and shot down to her house.

I was only there for maybe 1 or 2 minutes before we left to go to the barn.

So, we got to the barn and dropped off the instructor at the arena so she could prepare for her first lesson. Then we headed to the stables to begin with the usual chores. We mucked out stalls, petteded the horses, fed them, gave them hay, then while everyone else was doing whatever my friend and I went out and mucked the paddocks. We finished that relatively quickly, then with nothing else to do we started playing a make-shift game of lacrosse with mucking rakes and pine cones. That lasted for about 10 maybe 15 minutes, then we headed back to the barn to dump the wheelbarrow of poo in the dumpster and put up the rakes. The mucking rakes are similar to a hay fork, but they have more tines on them and they're made of plastic.

Anyway, the time had ticked away and I went to go saddle up my horse so I could get ready for my lesson and I found the tack room to be locked. So, I called my friend's mom to find out what the combination was and got it unlocked. After that I thought we were going to be able to leave my friend's mother's horse in his stall, but he was already getting anxious because the horse I ride is his "girlfriend" and everytime she goes somewhere without him he panics. So, I put on his halter and brought him out, then I ponied him out to one of the paddocks that is located directly next to the arena we have the lessons in.

So, my lesson went well and then my friend and her mom had a lesson.

After that we headed back to the barn to put up the horses and then we headed back to the house.

We then washed 4 of their 5 dogs and both of their cats. That was far worse than it sounds. You'd think after all the baths those animals have been through that they would be accustomed to it, but no... Most of them panic when they see water, hear water, or see themselves being taken into a bathroom. So, all of them did their little escape attempts while they were being washed. I was pretty damp once we finished with all of them. We did the cats last and one of them decided to sit on my foot and the bottom of my pants leg when get got out of the tub. I guess he felt safe there, but he soaked the leg of my pants and my sock.

Anyway, after that we went across the street and helped them rip up some linoleum flooring. That is hell... The people that installed that stuff were out of their mind. They had screws holding down the layer of plywood the linoleum flooring was put on. Not just a few screws. Easily a thousand screws. It was insane. Completely out of the ordinary. No one puts that many screws down for that kind of job. Whoever did this was an idiot or was just trying to make it take longer. Anyway, we did that, rather... I did that for about 2 hours, then my mom called to say that spaghetti would be ready in about 30 minutes. I told he to call me when it was ready though. So, she called around 6:15 to say that it was ready and I rode my bike home.

At this point, I'm exhausted and extremely full. I ate a lot of spaghetti, several pieces of bread, and drank a lot of water and milk.

So, now I'm sitting here talking to one of my friends who's in a cullinary school in New York. From what I've heard(she says) it's one of the best if not the best in the country.

I think it's time for me to head to bed though. I'm exhausted and I need a shower and some serious sleep.

After speaking to several people, I have decided that my brain has fallen into its shutdown phase... I almost spelled "phase" as "faze".

Ok, I need sleep.

But I'll probably never get it.

I need sleep.

Tell me what that for?

That stuff was from a Barenaked Ladies song.

Another sign that I'm tired. Quoting random odd songs.

Night
